The gateway to Port Macquarie

Historically known as the entrance to Port Macquarie, Thrumster was a quiet community which boasted a small number of Lifestyle Homesteads and a limited number of residents. Over the years the population in Thrumster experienced limited and very slow growth, this is until Feb 2009, when the brand new St Joseph's Regional College, was opened in the location. In the years following years 11 and 12 were added.

The new St Joseph's Regional College is considered one of the best, most modern facilities in the state and now caters for 1100 students from year 7-12. The goal of the College is to provide local students with a first class learning environment. The College attracts students from Port Macquarie and the wider area of the Hastings region. In addition to its Catholic feeder primary schools in Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton, students from as many as ten primary schools in the area every year express a desire to attend St Joseph's Regional College.

The arrival of the Regional College sparked a flurry of development with a number of residential homes being constructed as well as a Shopping Centre now open in the heart of the community, Stage 1 featured a full-line IGA supermarket, IGA Liquor, Home Timber and Hardware, Your Discount Chemist, cafes, homewares and specialty stores for the convenience of the surrounding community and beyond.

The projected growth for this area is expected to reach 12,868 residents by 2041 an increase of 387.6% growth from todays figures of 2,639 residents, making this area the perfect location for your Business or Commercial investment.
